Our YMCA Offers Youth Sports Throughout The Year Including:
Basketball (Nov. - Feb.) YOUTH BASKETBALL a co-ed sports program for boys and girls ages 4-12 years old. This program helps children develop the fundamental skills and knowledge of the game, practice good sportsmanship and teamwork through coaching instruction. Youth sports are a great way for youth to gain the confidence by learning to play as well as build the positive relationships with coaches and teammates. Participation in sports at the Y is focused on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. In addition, participants will learn the rules of the game and engage in team play while having fun. Floor Hockey (Feb, - Mar.) Swim Team (Summer, Fall & Winter Sessions) SEAHAWKS SWIM TEAM program is a year-round competitive swim team. We compete in the Rochester Area YMCA Swim League. This is a great program to improve your swimming skills and achieve your goals. The Y's Swim Team motto is, "Everybody Swims, Everybody wins!"
Soccer (July - August) YOUTH SOCCER is a co-ed sports program for boys and girls ages 4-12 years old. This program helps children develop fundamental skills and incorporates teamwork through instructional play. Whether it’s gaining the confidence by learning the game or building positive relationships through good sportsmanship and teamwork, participation in the soccer program is bound to be a positive experience. All sports at the YMCA are focused on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. In addition, participants will learn the rules of the game and engage in team play while having fun.
Lacrosse (April early June) YOUTH LACROSSE: YMCA offers Boys Outdoor Lacrosse program to children in grades K - 6. As one of the fastest growing teams sports in the U.S., lacrosse builds speed, agility and coordination, as well as teamwork and confidence. We aim to create a fun, yet competitive atmosphere that can serve as a skill building program for the next level of modified lacrosse.
