Annual Support
December 15, 2017
Dear Friend of the Y,
During this holiday season we would like to express our Thanksgiving for your participation and support of our YMCA and to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year. We would also like to ask your consideration of the Y for your year-end charitable giving. As a charitable organization, your financial support helps us to strengthen the community for all of us.
It has been an exciting year of growth here at your Clifton Springs Area YMCA. This year we have expanded our long-time programs for Y Soccer and Y Basketball by adding divisions for 3 & 4 year-olds. Our soccer league had more than 50 additional kids participate. Our School Age Child Care program has grown. We are working more closely with the Boys Lacrosse league. Our Y has added classes for Zumba, Dance Exercise and Silver&Fit senior fitness, ballet, jazz, and tap dance, art classes; and, shortly after the first of the year, we’ll be starting swim lessons and swim club.
Did you know that Y membership is open to all who might benefit from association? Part of our mission is Youth Development, and all of the school-aged youth of our community are given memberships at our Y at no cost to them, thanks to the donations of friends like you. Y membership for adults and families is very affordable and becoming more of a great value every month. Besides access to our fitness facilities, a Y membership includes access to 40+ other YMCAs in New York State, admission to our fitness classes, and use of the pool at Midlakes High School! We will be adding even more value in the near future.
We continue to work on our facilities with the addition of a new elliptical and a new layout for our Cardio Room; the redesign of the Men’s locker room; paint and redesign of the lobby and stairwell; and the installation of new lighting in the Palace Learning Center. The next planned improvement is the remodeling of the Women’s Locker Room.
Your donation is a key to our ability to run programs and maintain facilities. We are careful with the use of the funds that have been entrusted to us and invest cautiously in the things that will improve the excellence and effectiveness of our programs. Will you please help us with a generous, tax-deductable donation this year’s-end? The Y staff and the community’s children thank you!
Sincerely,
Todd Freelove, Executive Director
